MINNIE MULDER was born May 21, 1904 near Austinville, Iowa, the daughter of Folkert and Haukie (Rieken) Alberts. She married William Mulder on January 4, 1928, at the Little Brown Church, near Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1982. Minnie was saved in her farm home near Allison, while reading Romans 10:8-10, when God revealed the truth to her that Christ died for her. She was in fellowship in the Stout Gospel Hall. Minnie died Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at the Allison Health Care Center in Allison, Iowa, at 95 years of age.
She is survived by her son, Arthur Mulder and his wife Darlene, of Grundy Center, Iowa; her three daughters, Bernice DeGroote and her husband Harlan, of Parkersburg, Iowa, Ilene Shaw and her husband John, of Waterloo, Iowa, and DeAnne Meester of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Bessie Alberts of Allison.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a son, Larry W. Mulder; a sister, Alberta Sluiter; and four brothers, Jake, John, Folkert and Harm Alberts.
Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 1999, at the Stout Gospel Hall in Stout, Iowa. Interment was at Hitesville Cemetery near Aplington, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
