Minnie Gleneva Staley Mobley, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Sartori Memorial Hospital. Minnie was born December 16, 1913 in Buckeye Township, Hardin County, Iowa, the daughter of Stewart & Willa (Gilbert) Staley. She married Walter H. Mobley April 10, 1933 at Eldora, Iowa. He preceded her in death may 16, 1945. Minnie owned and operated the Pink Slipper in Independence. Her work history of over 35 years also included Maid Rite, Christy Convalescent Care Center, Boorom Nursing Home and the Cedar Falls Western Home from which she retired in 1979.

Survivors include four sons, Ralph Mobley of Waterloo, Raymond Mobley of New Hartford, Robert (Sharon) Mobley of Janesville and Dean Mobley of Cedar Falls; 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sons, Richard and Roy Mobley; two brothers, Redmond and Roland Grandzow; three sisters, Clara Chase, Willa Grandzow, and Suzie Staley; two stepsons, Gerald and Willard Mobley; and three stepdaughters, Marie Piper, Jean Arrsmith, and Marjorie Thompson.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with interment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
