Milo Weltruski

Milo Weltruski, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Western Home Communities Martin Health Care Center. Milo was born June 4, 1922 in Leigh, Nebraska, the son of Joseph & Pauline (Koudelka) Weltruski. He married Eva Woods January 27, 1946 in Cedar Falls. She preceded him in death May 19, 1993. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Milo was a farmer and also worked at John Deere & Company.

Survivors include his son, Doug (Shelley) Weltruski of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Chj (Orville) Morris of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, Angela (Blake) Hovenga, Alison (Andy) Maske, Brice (Shawna) Morris, Laurie (Victor) Kearns, Carissa (Ryan) Harms, Nicholle (Scott) Pliska, Anthony Weltruski and Caleb Roedel.

Milo was preceded parents and wife; two daughters, Sheila Roedel and Christine Miller; a grandson, Jared Kearns; two brothers, three sisters, and his special friend, Arlene Gunderson.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49.
