MILDRED IRENE HAGENSON , 86, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died Sunday, November 7, 2004, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was born July 23, 1918 at Thompson, Iowa, the daughter of John and Fay (Myers) Kerdus. She married Amos Hagenson on September 16, 1940 at Long Beach, California. Amos preceded her in death on March 19, 1943. Mildred attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) and taught at rural schools in Black Hawk County, Iowa. Survivors include two sons, Steven (Paula) Hagenson of Janesville, Iowa and James (Karin) Hagenson of Greenwood Village, Colorado; a daughter, Jeanne Langan of Hutchinson, Minnesota; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Stock, David Langan, Jonathan Lagan, Melissa Starke, Heather Hagenson, Heidi Hagenson, Justin Hagenson, Dylan Hagenson and Kelsey Hagenson; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Opal Lynes of Plainfield, Iowa and Dorothy Roman of Placentia, California. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and three brothers, John, Milton and Wilford Kerdus. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.  Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church or Christian Crusaders.
