Mickey Schwanke, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1927, at Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard & Marla (Graves) Wilkes. Mickey married Gene Schwanke in October of 1947 in Raymond, Iowa. She was employed as the office manager at Cedar Falls Construction and was a secretary at Ransom Bailey.
Survivors include her husband, Gene of Cedar Falls; two sons, Ron (Pam) Schwanke of Elgin, Iowa and Bruce (Carol) Bowers of Colorado; and one sister, Bonnie Larson of Waterloo. Mickey was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Monday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
