Michael Allen Wenzel, 60, of Waterloo, Iowa and formerly of Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Michael was born February 14, 1957 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Richard Allen & Marilyn Margaret (Meyer) Wenzel. He received a Masters Degree in Education and was a substitute teacher in Wisconsin.
Survivors include three sons, Luke Richard (Matilde) Wenzel of Omaha, Nebraska, Adam Russell (Lawrell) Wenzel of Waterloo and Matthew Roy Wenzel of Winona, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Dianara, Cassino, Lawrence, Jaclyn and James Wenzel; his mother, Marilyn Wenzel of Muscoda, Wisconsin; and two sisters, Annette (Curt) Wilkinson of Muscoda and Susie (Tim) Lickel of Potosi, Wisconsin.
Michael was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family at 1116 N. 85th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68114. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
