MICHAEL CHARLES "HEWEY"
HEWITT was born on October 15, 1947, at Waterloo, Iowa the son of Harold and Ruth (Fagerlind) Hewitt. He married Sharon Headrick on March 19, 1966, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa. Hewey graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1965was employed by John Deere for 37 years, most recently as Union Shop Chairman for UAW Local 838. Hewey died on Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at his home in Waterloo at 51 years of age.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Waterloo; three sons, Michael D. and his fiancée Tasha, Christopher and his wife Boni, and Sean and his wife Traci all of Waterloo; one daughter, Shereen Rene Hewitt of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Jacob Michael, Madison Kaye and Mitchael Charles, his mother, Ruth Klaus of Las Vegas, Nevada and one brother, Dennis Hewitt of Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 1999 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
