MAYE BIGELOW, was born May 3, 1920 in Sumner, Iowa, the daughter of Felix and Etta (Messer) Morf. She married Clair R. Bigelow in 1937 at Sumner, Iowa. He preceded her in death in September of 1984. Maye died Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, at 80 years of age.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Bigelow and his wife Alma of Cedar Falls; a granddaughter, Kara Grubic and her husband Steve of Cedar Falls; five great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Austyn, Fallyn, Camryn and Brenyn Grubic, and two sisters, Arlene Steege of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Lucille Zurbriggen of City By The Sea, Texas.
Maye was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Floral Hills Cemetery in Oelwein. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
