Maybeth Eloise Dickinson, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes. She was born August 17, 1919, in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of Clifton M. and Mabel Vernette (Robertson) Lyon. Maybeth married Earl Raymond Dickinson June 20, 1936, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death December 29, 1998. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with grandchildren, crafts, and ceramics. Maybeth also was very athletic in her earlier years and continued to enjoy biking and swimming. Maybeth is survived by one son, Tommy (Martha) Dickinson, of Girard, Ohio; one son-in-law, John Haley, of Washburn, Iowa; five grandchildren, Crystal (Andrew) Jones, Darren Haley, Karlene (Brad) Van Fleet, Carrie Lynn (Mike) Lucus, and Tracy (Diane) Dickinson; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Clayton Lyon, of Waterloo. Maybeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Carolyn Haley and one brother, James Lyon. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, Cedar Falls. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services Monday at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel.
