MAXINE MARIE SECOR, 68, died of melanoma at her home in Cedar Falls on Monday, July 31, 2006. She was born August 22, 1937 in Boone County, Iowa, the daughter of Howard Harold and Lucille Rita (Kenan) John. Maxine married Donald Joseph Secor in 1957 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1970. Maxine worked in the food service department at Cedar Falls High School and as a home health aide for Black Hawk County.
Survivors include three sons, David (Linda Goltry) Secor of Cedar Falls, James P. (Anna) Secor, Sr. of Bellevue, Nebraska and Jason Lee Secor of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Teresa (Robert) Albert, Jr. and Sandra (Brian) Albert, both of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren, Aaron Secor, Justin Albert, Jamie (John) Wardell, Jeannie (Brad) Dempster, Victoria Secor, James P. Secor, Jr., Elizabeth Secor, Sara Albert and Shawna Albert; a sister, Donna (Dick) Godwin of Yale, Iowa; many neices, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cherished friends.Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 3, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall (13th & Walnut St.), with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Gospel Hall. Memorials may be directed to the family.
