MAXINE C.
HANSON, 85, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born July 2, 1920, the daughter of Harold S. and Chrystal V. (McKee) Anderson. Maxine married Vernon C. Hanson February 14, 1942 at Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1960. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1938 and from Iowa State Teachers College (University of Northern Iowa) in 1940. Maxine then taught school at Alexander, Iowa from 1940 to 1942. She later became librarian with the Command and General Staff at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Maxine is survived by one son, Eric V. Hanson of Des Moines, Iowa; one nephew, Dan L. Hanson, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who came to live with her family at three years of age; one sister in law, Gladys Hanson and one brother in law Clayton Hanson; two nieces, Christa Hanson and Casey Reynolds; one nephew, Bill Hanson, and several cousins, including Tom (Linda) Reisinger.
