Max B. Lowcock, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.  Max was born May 5, 1927 at Powersville, Missouri, the son of Francis Edward & Faye (Bishop) Lowcock.  He married Ramona Hansen May 2, 1947 in Waterloo. They later divorced.  He married Maralee Bell November 24, 1978 in Cedar Falls.  Max served in the U. S. Army during WWII.  He was employed at Rath Packing Company for 21 years, was the Corporate Vice President of Operations at Honnegers in Fairbury, Illinois for 9 years, and was a Real Estate Broker-Associate with Century 21 for 13 years.  Max was Past President of Rath's  Management Club, Past Chairman of the Iowa Area Council of Management Club, was Past President and Co-founder of the City Management Club in Springfield, Illinois, was Past President of Waterloo Toastmasters,  and was a lifetime member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks in Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife, Maralee Lowcock, of Cedar Falls; his son, Erik (Christina) Lowcock, of Bentonville, Arkansas; his daughter, Brenda Joyce Coda, of Sedona, Arizona; three grandchildren, Danielle and Sean D'Addamio and Ariel Hooker; a step granddaughter, Kirsten Gackowski, two great grandchildren, Maliya Hooker and Asher D'Addamio; and one brother, Curtis W. Lowcock, of Wenatchee, Washington.  Max was preceded in death by his sister, Nadene Foster.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.  Military Honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, and for one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Christian Crusaders.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
