MATHILDA M.
OLSEN, 86, of New Hartford, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was born March 2, 1918 at Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Earl and Joy Elaine (Hanna) Whitcomb. Mathilda married George B. Olsen on May 24, 1940 at Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1997.
She is survived by her three sons, Tony Earl (Elaine) Olsen of Galveston, Texas, Lee Edward Olsen of Stillwater, Minnesota and Dale (Mimi Willis) Olsen of Cedar Falls; and six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mathilda was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a brother, Bob Whitcomb; a granddaughter, Rhiannon Olsen and a great-grandson, Jalen Quinn.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, at Fredsville Lutheran Church, with interment at Fredsville Lutheran Cemetery, both in rural Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the church.
