Maryjane L Nauman

MaryJane Louise Nauman, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born October 2, 1929 at Independence,  Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Holt)  Cooley. MaryJane attended Waterloo West High School. She married Ernest I. Nauman November 7, 1947 in Waterloo. MaryJane worked for the Cedar Falls School system as a crossing guard for many years, retiring in 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest , of Cedar Falls; two sons, Ernest I. (Sandi) Nauman Jr. of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Kevin C. (Lonna) Nauman, of Panora, Iowa; three daughters, Pam (Ron) Luders, of Cedar Falls, Tammy (Tom) Nicholson, of Cedar Falls, and Cindy Straight, of Waterloo; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; one brother, Les Cooley, of Hiawatha and one sister Joan Barrett, of Phoenix, Arizona.

MaryJane was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Nathanial "Nate" Nicholson, and two sisters, Evelyn and Pauline.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Christ Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial  in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
