Mary Eileen Moore, 84, of Waterloo, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Home, Osage, Iowa. She was born April 30, 1927 in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of William and Loretta (Farrell) Smith. Mary married Philip B. Moore on May 11, 1949 at Lourdes, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2008. Mary was a graduate of Assumption High School in Cresco and Mercy School of Nursing in Mason City, Iowa. She was a registered nurse for twenty-five years at Sartori Memorial Hospital and an industrial nurse at John Deere, retiring in 1992. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a volunteer at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Survivors include four daughters, Maureen (Jim) Green of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Kathryn Limes of London, Ohio, Janean (Kevin) Kolbet of Osage and Patricia Bardole of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Robert P. (Elaine) Moore, of Hudson, Iowa; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Regina (Charles) Bielefeld, of Verndale, Minnesota. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, January 5, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where a 7:00 pm Vigil Service will be conducted, and visitation one hour before the service at the church.
