Mary Ann Mccabe

Mary Ann McCabe, 83, of Cedar Falls, died at her home on Monday, May 18, 2015. She was born May 3, 1932 in Floyd, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Nannie (Sindt) Emmel. Mary Ann married Merlin McCabe on May 8, 1954 in Charles City, Iowa. Mary Ann graduated from Charles City High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Merlin McCabe, of Cedar Falls; her son, John (Karen) McCabe, of Cedar Falls; her daughter, Sherry (Anthony) Woodmancy, of Crofton, Maryland; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a brother, Marvin Emmel, of Charles City, and a sister, Mabel Grummer, of Appleton, Wisconsin. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Arnold, Eldo, Walter, Glenn and John Emmel, and two sisters, Leona Neir and Eileen Heitman. No services are planned at this time.
