Mary Hertzer

Mary C. Hertzer, 69, of Frisco, Texas and formerly of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.  Mary was born May 9, 1948 in DuBois County, Indiana, the daughter of Albert & Sylvia (Schue) Obermeier.  She married Manfred Hertzer November 20, 1971.  She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and was employed as an administrative assistant with American Automobile Association.

Survivors include her husband, Fred, of Frisco, Texas; three sons, Brian (Rabea) Hertzer of Little Elm, Texas, Chris Hertzer and Darren (Maria) Hertzer, both of Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Lily, Ethan, Lukas and Mark; three sisters, Rebecca (Scott) Clark of Wescosville, Pennsylvania, Dori (Joe) O'Donnell of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Carol (Don) Allen of Hiawatha, Iowa; and one brother, Mike (Jane) Obermeier of Cedar Falls.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother, Allen Miller.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Mt.
