Mary Louise Byggere Pint

Mary Louise Byggere Pint, 76, of Waterloo, passed away at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Monday, December 4, 2023.  She was born in Cedar Falls on May 3, 1947, the only child of Harvey and Gertrude (McCormick) Byggere.  Mary graduated from Columbus High School in 1965, then attended the University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Tech.  She worked as a Lab/X-Ray Technician for Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota from 1969-1971, then returned to Cedar Falls in 1976, and, then, worked for Waverly Hospital, Algona Hospital, Charles City Hospital and the UNI Student Health Center before retiring in 2007.  Mary was united in marriage to Gordon Pint on July 7, 2007, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.  As her parents aged and their health declined, she became their caregiver.  In her spare time, Mary enjoyed photography, shopping, home decorating and donating to the church rummage sales.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Alan Pint.  She is survived by Gordon, her husband of 16 years; daughter, Anne (Brad) Cole; sons, Robert Keehn, Adam Pint and Cary (Rizia) Pint; three grandchildren; two cousins, Robert Byggere of Castle Pines, Colorado and Robert McCormick of Apache Junction, Arizona; close friend, Carol Meggers; her Irish Doodle, Ginger; and many friends and former coworkers.

Mary's Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 11, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Cedar Falls with an hour of Visitation prior to the service.  Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or to her family.
