Marvin Moyer

Marvin E. Moyer, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, December 4, 2017, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.  He was born November 3, 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Emerson and Viola (Lundeblade) Moyer. He married Betty Lou Kettwig on June 28,1958 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2006. Marvin was a veteran of the Korean War. He was owner of Moyer Landscaping and later worked for Union #2158, retiring  in 1998.

Marvin is survived by one son, Mitch (Leigh Ann) Moyer, of Janesville; three daughters, Sheryl Decker, Michele (Tom) Madsen, and Valerie Westmeyer, all of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and one sister, Marjorie Eaton, of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers, LaVern and Robert Moyer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
