Martin "MC" Cook, 62, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born August 25, 1953 in Waterloo, the son of James H. and Darlene M. Cook. Martin was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. Martin was the former state and regional Golden Gloves Champion for 1971 and 1972.

He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina (Justin) DeHoet, of Tripoli, Iowa; his son, Cody (Christy) Cook, of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a brother, Rick (Brenda) Graybill, of Waterloo.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents and his long-time companion, Michelle Pyle.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be one hour before service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Martin's daughter, Sabrina DeHoet. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
