Martha Ann Drenner, 75, of Waterloo, passed away at MercyOne/Covenant Medical Center on Friday, September 6, 2024.  She was born in Waterloo, on May 17, 1949, daughter of William and Bessie (Rhodes) VanEe.  Martha graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1967, then entered the 2-year Radiology Tech program at Allen Hospital.  She married William Drenner on May 11, 1974, at the First United Methodist Church of Cedar Falls.  Martha worked for Allen Hospital for 34 years, leaving in 2003 to help care for her granddaughter who had been born prematurely.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; and half-siblings: Hazel Stephan, Howard, Ray and Clarence Kuykendall.  She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill; daughter, Keri (Jon) Aufdencamp of Bloomington, MN; son, Andrew (Sara) Drenner of Savage, MN; and grandchildren: Taylor, Morgan and Nathan Aufdencamp.

Martha had an appreciation and talent for the arts.  In her younger years she won awards for her own ceramic work and throughout life she demonstrated her eye for beauty by filling her home with arts, crafts and antiques.  Martha and Bill created a beautiful yard with vibrant flowers, creative landscaping and a gorgeous koi pond.  She was very generous and her love was always demonstrated in abundance. She loved to read and was a frequent visitor to the Waterloo Public Library.  Martha loved animals and over the years provided a home to cats, dogs, and a variety of other animals. Above all else, Martha cherished time with her family.

Martha did not want any services. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society.
