MARLYS "MOLLIE"
FLOSS, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born May 25, 1937 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Earl and Florence (Waters) Bolin. Mollie married Robert Carmichael and they later divorced. She married Gary Floss and they later divorced. Mollie attended Cedar Falls schools and received her GED in 1989. She was a cook and custodian for 15 years at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include two sons, Ritch Carmichael of Lakeville, Minnesota and Craig (Debbie) Carmichael of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Katy Block of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Heide Jones, John Block, Sabrina Carmichael, Kilei Carmichael and Zachary Carmichael; one great-grandchild, Sonya Block; and two brothers, Bruce (Marlys) Bolin of Dysart and Floyd (Sharon) Bolin of Cedar Falls.
Mollie was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Sidney Carmichael; and four brothers, Melvin, Bob, Glen and Harold Bolin.
Funeral services were Friday, June 2, 2006, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
