Marjorie Eileen Hoy

Marjorie E. Hoy, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls. Marjorie was born June 10, 1917 in Denver, Iowa, the daughter of George & Elsie (Moeller) Gersema. She married Kenneth Hoy April 26, 1947 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death July 9, 1993. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Hoy of Waterloo and Darrell (Jean) Hoy of Washburn; her daughter, Jo Ann Hoy of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Travis Hoy of LaPorte City, Iowa, Leah (Charles) Hoffman of Des Moines, Iowa and Tracey (Corey) Huinker of Gilbertville, Iowa; four great grandsons; and her sister, Helen Reardon of Beaumont, Texas. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a son, Kenneth Hoy; a great granddaughter, Bryn Huinker; and four brothers, George, Merlin, Delos, and James Gersema. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
