Marjorie J Ellison

MARJORIE J. SCHOOF ELLISON was born August 21, 1928 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Irene (Seamon) Schoof. She married Leland Bo Ellison on October 8, 1950 in Waverly. They farmed north of Waverly for many years. She volunteered with many organizations, including her church, Farm Bureau and 4H and enjoyed activities such as piano, gardening, fishing, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Marjorie died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at ManorCare Health Services in Waterloo, Iowa, at 75 years of age.

Survivors include her daughter, Kris (Craig) Rash of Denver, Iowa; three sons, Dave (Collette) Ellison of Waverly, Mitch Ellison of Plainfield, Iowa and Bo (Cindy Hendrickson) Ellison of Waverly; three grandchildren, Jessi Foelske, Leslie Rash and Tony Ellison; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Don (Verna) Schoof of Boone, Iowa and Merwin (Lois) Schoof of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one step-granddaughter and one sister, Verla Lucas.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Plainfield United Methodist Church with burial at Willow Lawn Cemetery, both in Plainfield.  Memorials may be directed to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
