MARJORIE L.
COLLINS, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, December 6, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Marjorie was born September 24, 1929 in Wellsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Tina (Schulte) Johnson. She married Wallace Fessler in 1948 and they were later divorced. Marjorie married Bill Collins in 1973 and they later divorced. She owned and operated restaurants in both Kamrar and Aplington, Iowa and was a bookkeeper for fifty years, retiring in 2002.
Survivors include her daughter, Trudy (Dennis) Weichers of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three grandchildren, Brett and Brad (Shantelle) Weichers, and Brandi (Jordan) Patton, all of Cedar Falls; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jakob Weichers, Hunter Bell and Tyler Patton, all of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Henrietta Shipp of Waterloo.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred and Harry Johnson; and three sisters, Pearl Ross, Jennie Eilderts and Dorothy Neessem.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, with interment at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to family.
