Marjorie Mae Behrens, 93, of Cedar Falls, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Martin Suites in Cedar Falls.
Born to Mahlon C. and Sena (Kramer) Johnson on January 26, 1932, in rural Grundy County near Parkersburg, Iowa. Marjorie married Kenneth Carl Behrens on April 5, 1955, at the Christian Reformed Church in Parkersburg. They shared 63 years of marriage prior to Kenneth's death on December 21, 2018.
Marjorie was employed at the Cedar Falls Trust and Savings Bank (then called Firstar Bank), retiring in 1992. She was a lifelong member and volunteer at St. John Lutheran Church, also volunteering with Sartori Hospital. Marjorie loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her family, never missing a birthday or special event.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Nanci Brietske of Cedar Falls, Bruce (Karen) Behrens of Altoona, Michael (Lori) Behrens of Bellevue, and James (Christine) Behrens of Waverly. Marjorie was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mahlon and Sena Johnson; sister, Esther Johnson; husband, Kenneth Behrens; grandson, Blake Wilson; and son-in-law, Paul Brietske.
Visitation for Marjorie will be from 5-7pm, Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Her funeral will be 10am, Friday, April 25 with visitation an hour prior at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg following the reception at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church. Please visit
