Marion J. Weston, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Westbrook Acres Care Center, Gladbrook, Iowa. She was born October 16, 1926 in Preston, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Nohr) Bammert. Marion was a graduate of Preston High School, Preston, Minnesota. She married Lionel Weston October 31, 1948 at Preston, Minnesota. He preceded her in death January 3, 1994. Marion was a member of Telephone Pioneers and the Cedar Heights Woman's Club. She was also an avid volunteer at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home and St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Rich) England of Cedar Falls and Carole (Rich) Broyles of Dothan, Alabama; her son, Mike (Pam) Weston of Lee's Summit, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Michelle, Stacy, Eric, Adrienne, Sean, and Todd, and three great grandchildren.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three sisters, Frances Scheevel, Helen Specht and Virginia Tienter; and two brothers, William and Frank Bammert.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church with interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church.
