Marion Bulgren

Marion L. Bulgren, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Marion was born February 6, 1929 at Old Saybrook, Connecticut, the daughter of Millard L. and Hazel Mae (Harris) Letts. She married Robert Bulgren in March of 1971 in Branford, Connecticut. Marion worked as a clerk with AT & T for forty years, retiring in 1991. Survivors include her husband, Robert Bulgren, of Cedar Falls; her daughter, Donna Olson, of Branford, Connecticut; two sons, Tom (Cathy) Olson, of North Haven, Connecticut and Kurt (Shawna) Olson, of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Lindsay Olson of Phoenix, Arizona and Zachary Zaputil of Ankeny, Iowa; two great grandchildren, Carter Olson and Addy Moe, both of Phoenix; and her sister, Irene Wenker of Townshend, Vermont. Marion was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Millard and William Letts. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church with inurnment in Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service time at the church. The family requests no flowers.
