Marilyn Gordon

Marilyn Gordon, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, December 17, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born December 6, 1942 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Cecil and Lena (Thompson) Stoddard. Marilyn married Richard Carley in Cedar Falls and they later divorced. She married Larry Gordon on July 17, 1999 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2012. Marilyn was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and was a travel agent at Shorts Travel for many years.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Candace) Carley, of Cedar Falls; her daughter, Diane Dean, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; four grandchildren, and her sister, Joyce (Lee) Boylan, of Longmont, Colorado.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry, and her uncle, Walter Stoddard.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.
