MARIE M. WHEELOCK,
78, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Marie was born May 6, 1927 in Waterloo the daughter of William & Hazel (Fouts) Smith. She married Dencil C. Wheelock November 27, 1943 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death February 9, 1984.
Survivors include four sons, Larry (Sharon) Wheelock of Waterloo, Bill (Linda) Wheelock, Daniel Wheelock and Joseph (Janet) Wheelock, all of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Judy Zook of Evansdale, Laura (Bob) Wireman of Nashua, Christa (Tom) Schons of Cedar Falls and Starla Wheelock of Coralville; 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel (Doris) Smith of Lorena, Texas, Richard (Peggy) Smith of Denver, Iowa and William (Caryl) Smith of Waterloo; and three sisters, Connie (Sam) Tarr of Portaville, California, Betty (Bob) Platt of Cedar Falls and Karla (Jim) Pike of Waterloo. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one daughter in infancy, Teri Jo Wheelock; one son-in-law, Harlan Zook; three brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Victor Smith; and two sisters, her twin, Mary Smith and Delores Smith in infancy.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Cedar Bible Church, corner of Fern and Green Avenues, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the church.
