MARIE A. HENRICHS CUVELIER
was born December 1, 1912 in Allison, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Tillie (Freeseman) Henrichs. She married Jake Cuvelier on November 11, 1932. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1985. Marie worked for many years as a cook for the Finchford Community School and as a switchboard operator for the Finchford Independent Telephone Company. She retired in 1974 as the switchboard operator for the Eldora Training School in Eldora, Iowa. Marie died Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, at 88 years of age.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cae McCalley (Noel) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Lyn Feckers (Paul) of New Hartford, Iowa; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a son, Lon Cuvelier; three brothers, John, Henry and Ted Henrichs, and a sister, Ann DeBerg.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at the funeral home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
