Marian Bundy

Marian Ruth Bundy, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Maple Manor Village in Aplington. She was born January 13, 1928 in Holland, Iowa, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hillygus) Peters. Marian married James Edward Bundy January 20, 1951 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death June 10, 2008. She graduated from Dike High School. Marian worked as a teller at First National Bank in Cedar Falls and later had a day care service for many years. She is survived by one son, Steve (Kim Knapek) Bundy, of Cedar Falls and one daughter, Valerie (Don) DeGroote, of New Hartford; four grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) De Groote, Kobey (Brad) Swarts, and Travis and Jenna Bundy; three great grandchildren, Gentry Swarts, Bayler Swarts, and Addison De Groote; two brothers, Ivan (Becky) Peters, of Batavia, Iowa and Ronald (Sharon) Peters, of Tripoli. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Herbert, Duane, Edwin, Donald, and La Verne Peters; and four sisters, Lorraine Peters, Janice Heuebner, Marlys Petersen, and Lois Muller. Private graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
