Marian F. Bireline, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. She was born February 4, 1916 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of George F. and Sigrid A. (Pedersen) Wood. Marian married Lawrence W. Bireline on November 20, 1948 at Battle Creek, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2006. Marian was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and Iowa State Teachers College (UNI), and was a secretary for the Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was a member of the North Cedar Garden Club and the Sartori Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her cousins, Cleon (Lorraine) Wood and Clytell Thieman, both of Cedar Falls, and many nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger Wood.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, March 23, 2009, at College Hill Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to College Hill Lutheran Church or the Western Home Communities.
