Marian Andreessen

Marian Andreessen, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born April 15, 1925, in Aplington, Iowa, the daughter of Arend and Susan (Molendorp) Naber. Marian married Edward Andreessen November 27, 1943, in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death April 26, 1972. Marian was a graduate of New Hartford High School. She worked at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls for 14 years, retiring in 1986. Marian is survived by one son, Dennis (Marge) Andreessen of West Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Colleen (Ron) Wessels of Parkersburg, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Steven Andreessen; two brothers, Kenny and Roy Naber, and three sisters, LaValle Fank, Gertrude Olsson and Dorothy Saylor Dichtel. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in New Hartford. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
