Margaret “Maggie” Ann (Cass) McInroy passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 90 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Maggie was born in Le Mars, Iowa, on December 21, 1935, to Montague Anthony Cass, Jr. and Pearl Mae (Eikenberry) Cass. Upon graduating from Le Mars High School, Maggie attended the University of Iowa, and was a member of the Scottish Highlanders from 1954-1958. She marched in the Rose Bowl Parade and traveled overseas onboard the Queen Mary to perform in England, Scotland, and France.
Following her retirement from Standard Golf Company, Maggie enjoyed antiquing with her husband. Their business took them on buying and selling trips throughout the Midwest, but the real treasures were the friends they made along the way. Maggie was a 70-year member of PEO Chapter R, Questors Yesterday Heritage, and T.T.T. Her love of volunteering followed her throughout her life.
Maggie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Douglas McInroy; children, Elizabeth (Jerry) Hunt, Montague (Yorivenia) Garrison, and Maria Garrison (David Kohn); grandson, Brock (Jessica Gao) Hunt; niece, Sharon Toplinski; nephew, Steven Cass; and special dog, Ginger. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elizabeth Cass and Gilbert (Delores) Cass.
A special thank you to our friends and neighbors for all the care and support provided throughout Maggie’s illness.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice. Please visit www.dahlfuneralhome.com to share condolences with the family.
