Margaret Borchelt

Margaret E. Borchelt, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.  She was born June 5, 1926 at Dike, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Leona  (Wedeking) Brandhorst.   Margaret married Martin Borchelt on January 20, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo.  He preceded her in death on January 16, 2017.  Margaret graduated from Hudson High School in 1944. She then attended dental school and worked for Dr. Irwin Frost for many years. Margaret was a active member of the republican party, a volunteer of the Red Cross and a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Juhl Zelle, of Cedar Falls; one niece, Jane (Rick) Juchems, of Plainfield; two nephews, Edward (Gayle) Juhl, of Hudson and John (Ann) Juhl, of Forrest Hills, New York.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband;

Services will be 2:00p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hudson, Iowa.  Visitation will be one hour before services on Sunday.
