MARCYEA W.
95, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center. Marcyea was born February 14, 1909 at Baxter, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Ethel (Seyforth) Weeks. She married Arthur J. Bielefeldt on June 3, 1931 at Baxter, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1978. Marcyea graduated from Baxter High School and Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) in 1928 with a primary degree in teaching. She taught at Dunkerton Consolidated School.
She is survived by her son, William Weeks (Rose) Bielefeldt of Ames, Iowa; her two daughters, JoAnn (Irvin) Wagner of Norman, Oklahoma and Jean Lea Bielefeldt of Laurel, Maryland; six grandchildren, Brenda Wagner, Janet Wagner Gorton, Karen Wagner, April Bielefeldt, Angela Bielefeldt and Justin Nation, and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Calvin Gorton, Jason Arthur Gorton, Alianna Lee Nation and Cadence Marcyea Nation. Marcyea was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, at the Western Home Chapel in Cedar Falls with burial at Roland Cemetery in Roland, Iowa.
