Malcolm V Bigelow

MALCOLM VINALL BIGELOW was born March 26, 1913 in Alden, Iowa the son of George Fay and Ethel Mathilda (Vinall) Bigelow. He married Lois Rice February 5, 1937 in Waterloo, Iowa. Lois preceded him in death on July 10, 2001. Malcolm was employed at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo for 30 years including many of those years as a Plant Supervisor. He was also employed at Holiday Inn for 15 years. Malcolm died Monday, January 14, 2002 at the Western Home Martin Center at the age of 88 years. Survivors include one son, Lawrence Bigelow and his wife Kathy of Jesup; one daughter, Janis Short of Cedar Falls; one daughter-in-law, Mary Bigelow of Solon, Iowa; eight grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Malcolm was preceded in death by her parents, his wife, one son, Dr. Harold "Buzz" Bigelow, who preceded him in death on March 17, 2001, and his sister, Priscilla Williams. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2002 at First United Methodist Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.
