Mae Lois Lindaman

Mae Lois Lindaman, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born May 24, 1925 in Stout, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Alice (Eiklenborg) Andreessen. Mae married Vernon Lindaman on August 20, 1948 in Stout. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2009. Mae attended Dike Community High School and worked at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo, Sartori Memorial Hospital and retired in 1987 from Cedar Falls High School. She is survived by three sons, James (Cindy) Lindaman of Ankeny, Iowa, Darrell (Deb) Lindaman of Waterloo and Daniel (Joan) Lindaman of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Jane (Rick) Rundell, of Knoxville, Tennessee; two foster sons, Brad Bigelow of California and Jon O'Brien of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Erma (Charles) Christianson, of Cedar Falls. Mae was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a son, David Lee Lindaman; two brothers, Harry and Harlan Andreessen; three sisters, Margaret Heeren, Esther Thompson, Mildred Wilkens, and three siblings who died in infancy. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Stout Cemetery in Stout, Iowa. Visitation will be 25:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation, Orchard Hill Church, or the American Diabetes Association.
