LYNOLD F. BOEHMKE,
92, of Cedar Falls died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Center. Lynold was born April 30, 1913 at Keystone, Iowa the son of William & Anna (Kramer) Boehmke. He married Thelma Criswell August 25, 1935 in Keystone, Iowa and she preceded him in death on September 1, 1973. He married Ann Reed in December of 1977 and she preceded him in death July 5, 2002. Lynold farmed near Keystone until 1950 and then near Arlington, Iowa until 1968. He also worked at John Deere & Company in Waterloo from 1957 until retiring in 1978.
Survivors include one son, Duane (Sylvia) Boehmke of Denver, Iowa; one step daughter, Marjorie (Duane) Getty of Richardson, Texas; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, three step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Ruby) Boehmke of Walford, Iowa and Bill (Carolyn) Boehmke of Big Bear Lake, California; and three sisters, Wilma Linn of Anamosa, Iowa, Arlene Behrens-Titler of Center Point, Iowa, and Dorothy (Leonard) Franzenburg-Brecht of Blairstown, Iowa. Lynold was preceded in death by his parents, two wifes; two sons, Fred and Ray Boehmke; one grandson, Brad Boehmke; one brother, Walter Boehmke and one sister, Olive Kramer.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Waterloo with burial in Garrison Cemetery, Garrison, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
