Lynn M Izer

LYNN MARION IZER was born April 3, 1969 in Story City, Iowa, the son of Marion and Shirley (Williams) Izer. He married Shannon Skiles on March 11, 2000, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Lynn was a graduate of Alden High School, Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa and the Kansas City Kansas Community College Mortuary Science Program. He served his internship and was a funeral director with the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Lynn enjoyed being a referee for high school basketball and an umpire for high school and college baseball. He died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in Cedar Falls, at 31 years of age.

Lynn is survived by his wife Shannon and their son Jackson Skiles, both of Cedar Falls; his parents, Marion and Shirley Izer of Iowa Falls; a brother, Marty Izer of Alden, Iowa; two sisters, Shellane Nicknam of San Jose, California and Rochelle Armstrong of Burnsville, Minnesota; many cousins, nephews and nieces, and aunts and uncles, and his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Linda Skiles of Cedar Falls, and their family.  He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2000 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Alden Cemetery, Alden, Iowa.  A memorial fund will be established.
