Lucinda Peters

Lucinda Peters, 94, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Hudson, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center. Lucinda was born August 9, 1919, on the family farm in rural Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Wilhelm & Anna (Weidemann) Meyer. She married Carl Peters May 11, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Artesian, Iowa. He preceded her in death December 10, 1996. Survivors include her son, Ronald Peters, of Hudson; two daughters, Carolyn (Keith) Macomber, of Cedar Falls and Pamela Crossley of Lisbon, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Laura Crossley, of Norway, Maine. Lucinda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Clarence Meyer; and three sisters, Laura Meyer, Melva Meyer and Rosalie Boone. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at College Hill Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church or Care Initiatives Hospice.
