Lucille Kathryn Dorwin

Lucille Kathryn Dorwin, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. Lucille was born March 18, 1927, in Nashua, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin & Eleanor (White) Dietz. She married Robert K. Dorwin June 17, 1945 in Nashua. He preceded her in death October 24, 1984. Lucille was employed at Electric Park Ballroom and retired from K-Mart in the 1960's. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Neuman, of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Nathan Neuman, Heather Neuman, Ben Neuman, Holly Dorwin and Lisa Wolf, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon Dietz of Tipton, Dean Dietz of Dumont, and Gene Dietz of Nashua, and two sisters, Florence Hatzky of Cedar Falls and Shirley Diesburg of Denver. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Jerry Dorwin; four brothers, Kenneth, Robert, Wendell and Wayne Dietz, and two sisters, Lois Dietz and Kathleen Key. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Meals on Wheels.
