Loy Conn

Loy Putt Conn, 77, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Bristow, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.  Loy was born December 24, 1932, at Bristow, Iowa, the son of Cecil & Vera (Putt) Conn.  He married Mary Jane Wagner January 14, 1961 and they were later divorced. He married Jennette Dodge. Loy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He attended Iowa State University in Ames for two years and farmed in the Bristow area. He then became an electrician and worked for NIACC at Mason City, until his retirement in 2003.

Survivors include his son, Bradley (Emily) Conn, of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Connie (Kenneth) Erpelding, of Waterloo; his grandson, Cooper Conn; and his sister, Cleo (Lloyd) Tindall, of Verona, Wisconsin.

Loy was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010,  at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Greene, Iowa.  Visitation will be two hours before services, Wednesday at the funeral home.
