Louise E Souders

LOUISE E. SOUDERS, 78, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo from complications from a fall. Louise was born April 5, 1927 at Mt. Vernon, Iowa the daughter of Arthur "A.J." & Grace (Hoodmaker) Rogers. She married Ralph V. Souders April 20, 1946 at Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Louise graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She received her degree in Elementary Education from Cornell College in 1949. Louise was a member of the Cedar Falls Woman's Club for many years and also a member of First Evangelical Free Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph of Cedar Falls; one son, Ray Souders of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Ann (Timm) Brom of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; and five grandchildren, Sarah (Brad) Lindsay of Durham, North Carolina, Tim Brom of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Daniel, Elizabeth and Luke Brom, at home in Prairie du Chien.  Louise was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Faye Irwin.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.  A memorial fund will be established.
