Lorraine M Schmidt

Lorraine M. Schmidt 76, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa. She was born February 5, 1930, Cedar Falls, Iowa the daughter of C. Leonard and Nettie (Krogh) Hanson. She married Johnny R. Schmidt November 23, 1951 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Before her retirement in 1982 she worked at Sartori and St. Francis Hospital as a nurse in Obstetrics.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Johnny R. Schmidt of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four daughters, Linda (Norm) Weitzel of Ames, Iowa, Nancy (Ken) Crandell of Des Moines, Iowa, Barbara (Dave) Blough of Lafayette, Colorado and Debra (Tom) Hauskins of Marian, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Kamienski of Tampa, Florida, Audrey (Bob) Thoms of Marshalltown, Iowa and Julie (Leon) Pipho of Penny Farms, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeffrey John Schmidt.

Memorial services will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with inurnment in Fredsville Lutheran Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorial may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church.
