Lorraine Nelson

Lorraine L. Nelson, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Affinity House in Waterloo. Lorraine was born October 18, 1924 in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Herman & Laura Dora (Heineman) Stahlhut. She married Floyd Eisenman and he preceded her in death in 1965. Lorraine married Albert Nelson, Jr. September 30, 1972 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death November 5, 2006. She was employed at Black's Department Store as an office worker for 43 years retiring in 1989. Lorraine was a member of Eagle's club and Black's EZ Club.

Survivors include two stepsons, Theodore (Donna) Nelson of Cedar Falls and Larry (Bev) Nelson of Coralville, Iowa; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; her stepdaughter, Virginia Nelson Bates; Step-son-in-law, Bill Bates, two brothers, Ferdinand and Reinholdt Stahlhut, and her sister, Helen Boderman.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.
