Lorna J Thuesen

LORNA JANE THUESEN, 76, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home and formerly of Hudson, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at the home of natural causes. She was born August 17, 1922 on a farm near Dinsdale, Iowa the daughter of John and Bertha (Sell) Petersen. She married Charles Thuesen February 27, 1947 at The Little Brown Church,  Nashua, Iowa. He died January 25, 1997. Lorna and Charles farmed near Cedar Falls for many years.

Survivors include her son, Rich of Cedar Falls, two daughters, Marcia Williams of Hudson and Janeene Mikkelsen of Waterloo, five grandchildren, Brian and Michael Thuesen, Tom Williams, Kelly Reeves, and Todd Mikkelsen, five great-grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Lay, Alexis Reeves, Kirsten and Caitlyn Williams, one brother, Clarence Petersen of Hudson, and three sisters, Lucille Karkosh of Reinbeck, LaVera Behrns of Traer and Gladys Rego of Hayward, California.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Leona Schreck, Lizzie Karkosh and Lorene Jensen.

Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
