Lorna Knapp

Lorna J. Knapp, 65, of Shell Rock, Iowa, died Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Waverly Health Center in Waverly, Iowa.  Lorna was born August 20, 1952 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Lawrence & Jennie (Van Lengen) Folkers.  She married Dennis Knapp at First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls in 1973 and they later divorced.  She was employed as a cook at the Black Hawk County Jail.

Survivors include her three children, Nathan (Kelly) Knapp of Independence, Missouri, Rochelle (David) Winkelman of LaPorte City and Andrew (Nicole) Knapp of Cedar Falls, eight grandchildren and two sisters, Janice (Jim) Geiger of Waterloo and Jeanne Buss of Cedar Falls.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Shell Rock United Methodist Church, 204 S. Prairie Street.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the celebration.  A luncheon will be held following the celebration.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
