Lois E Jensen

Lois E. Jensen, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May  19, 2009, at her home in Cedar Falls, under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. She was born August 21, 1917 the daughter of Henry and Jessie (Thornton)  Winslow at New Providence, Iowa. Before her marriage to Merrill C. Jensen on August 22, 1940 in Cedar Falls, she was employed at Harts Food Center.  Merrill preceded her in death on December 15, 1999.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ellefson of Bondurant, Iowa and Claudia (Duane) Hamilton of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Kristen McGill, Katie Richards, Amy (Tim) Kangas, Sarah (Greg) Breuer,  and Jack Hamilton; six great grandchildren, Stephen, Kurt, Kourtney, Linnea, Angel, and Joseph.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, George Winslow and one sister, Joyce Robinson.

Private family graveside services will be Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or American Heart Association.
